Incidents & Accidents
6-11 – Gregory D. Leadley, 46, Kewanee, was charged with speeding 84 mph in a 55 zone, driving without vehicle insurance and possession of heroine and methamphetamine. He was released with a notice to appear.
6-11 – Kewan D. Hudson, 25, Peoria, was arrested for driving without a valid driver’s license, driving with no vehicle insurance and improper tail lighting. He posted $250 cash bond and was released with a court date.
6-11 – Damien D. Murray, 43, Peoria, was ticketed for speeding 87 mph in a 55 zone, operating an uninsured vehicle and illegal transportation of adult use cannabis. He was released with a court date.
6-14 – Ana I. Chirinos Maradigu, 41, Waukegan, was arrested for improper use of an electronic device and driving without a valid driver’s license. She posted $250 cash bond and was released with a court date.
6-15 – Rebecca L. Saner, 34, Wyoming, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance, driving on an expired driver’s license and operation of a vehicle with a suspended registration for non-insurance. She was released with a notice to appear.
6-16 – Jose F. Hernandez-Rodriguez, 54, Eagle Pass, Texas, was cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration.
6-16 – Roberto E. Garcia-Gasea, 26, Eagle Pass, Texas, ticketed for speeding 60 mph in a 45 zone and driving with suspended registration.
6-16 – Samantha A. Hippen, 36, Trivoli, was cited for speeding and for driving on an expired registration.
6-18 – Morgan J. Pape, 25, Bradford, was arrested for criminal damage to property. She was taken into custody and transported to the Stark County Jail. Cash bond was $150.
Peoria County Report
6-6 – Paige R. Heaton of Toulon was driving a southbound 2015 Ford F-250 pickup on Illinois Route 40 at Parks School Road east of Dunlap when the vehicle struck a deer. The truck was damaged, according to a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report. No injuries reported.

6-12 – After a follow-up at the Galva Lincoln House regarding a theft last week, two subjects were located and arrested. Takota Randall, 26, Galva, was arrested for criminal trespass to residence. Madelyn Hahn, 22, Galva, was arrested for theft under $500 and criminal trespass to residence. Both subjects were released with a required court date.
6-12 – to 600 block of N. Center Ave. for a missing 3-year-old, who was found in an upstairs bedroom.
6-12 – to assist Knox County with a head-on, two-vehicle collision with injuries in the 2800 block of East Knox Rd.
6-12 – to meet with a resident at the Galva Police Department in reference to a stolen license plate sticker.
6-12 – to 100 block of NW 6th Ave. for a complaint of animal cruelty.
6-12 – to 100 block of NW 6th Ave. for a verbal domestic disturbance.
6-13 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 400 block of W. Division St., Dean Simoneaux, 66, Galva, was arrested for improper use of registration and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a court date.
6-13 – to the 00 block of NE 4th St. for a vandalism complaint involving paint being used to make drawings on a new public sidewalk.
6-13 – to 100 block of NW 6th Ave. for a landlord/tenant dispute.
6-13 – to 200 block of NW 7th Ave. for a low-speed vehicle complaint.
6-13 – to meet with a resident at City Hall in reference to a theft complaint. After some follow up, Jennifer Bainbridge, 47, Galva, was arrested for forgery. She was taken to the Henry County jail.
6-14 – to a residence on SE 7th Ave. for an unresponsive subject. The subject was determined to be deceased. The coroner was contacted.
6-14 – Officer assisted attorney general’s office speak to parents on SW 6th Ave after underage children posted an inappropriate YouTube video.
6-14 – to check three vehicles parked at the old viaduct west of town. Subjects were advised to move along.
6-14 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 1000 block of SW 2nd St., Luke Levene, 47, Galesburg, was cited for having expired Illinois registration and improper display of license plates. A passenger, Tiffany Riley, 40, Galesburg, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. She was released with a court date.
6-14 – to the 00 block of NE 4th Ave. for a loud noise/disorderly conduct complaint.
6-15 – to 00 block of NE 4th Ave. to assist a resident find their dog.
6-15 – to provide traffic control while subjects trimmed and cleaned curbs and gutters along SE 2nd St.
6-15 – Officer met with a representative from Illinois EPA about a complaint concerning a local business.
6-15 – Officer spoke to a subject by telephone about a lost front license plate somewhere between Chicago and Galva. A report was completed and the license plate was entered into LEADS as a stolen/missing item.
6-15 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 1000 block of SE 2nd St., Tara Cravens, 31, Neponset, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration is suspended for no insurance. She was released with a court date.
6-15 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of S. Center Ave, Neil Furlan, 36, Altona, was arrested for not having a valid driver’s license and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a court date.
6-16 – to the 00 block of NE 4th Ave. for a loud-music complaint.
6-16 – to the 00 block of NE 4th Ave. for a complaint involving a juvenile wanting to leave without a parent’s permission.
6-16 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of SW 3rd St., Scott Peed, 41, Kewanee, was cited for operating a vehicle with suspended registration for no insurance an operation of uninsured vehicle. He was released with a court date.
6-16 – to 00 block of Chester St. for a two-vehicle crash.
6-16 – to the 200 block of Exchange St. for a handicap-parking complaint. Officer had subject move the vehicle.
6-16 – to the Galva Park District for a report of underage juveniles drinking alcohol. Officer located three subjects and placed them under arrest after they failed alcohol tests. Subjects were transported to Galva Police Department, where parents were called to pick them up. All three subjects, aged 13, 14, and 16, were issued a juvenile referral for unlawful possession and/or consumption of alcohol by a minor. A partial bottle of vodka was seized as evidence.

6-16 – to 00 block of NW 8th Ave. for a verbal domestic disturbance.
6-16 – to the 100 block of NW 6th Ave. for a domestic disturbance. As a result, Jennifer Bainbridge, 47, Galva, was arrested for domestic battery. She was taken to Henry County Jail.
6-17 – to County Highway 5 north of town for livestock on the roadway.
6-17 – Officer, and his K9 partner, were requested to assist Stark County with a traffic stop several miles east of Galva.
6-18 – to the 500 block of N. Center Ave. for a complaint of two dogs running loose.
6-18 – to the 200 block of NE 3rd St. in reference to a city ordinance violation of burning on a non-burn day. The fire was put out.
6-15 – Taylor Waugh, 32, Aledo, was issued a citation for not having insurance in the 500 block of W. Division St.
6-16 – Judson Peed, 46, Kewanee, was issued citations for having an expired driver’s license and having expired Illinois registration in the 400 block of SE 7th Ave.
