Clarification
In the June 28 edition of The Prairie News public record section, the Stark County Sheriff’s Office reported Paige Weida, 24, of Kewanee was ticketed for speeding, possession of methamphetamine and fleeing/ eluding. On Aug. 16, Weida appeared in Stark County Court and was given court supervision for the speeding charge. State’s Attorney Austin King said Weida was not charged with possession of methamphetamine or fleeing/eluding.

Peoria County Report
8-24 – A traffic stop in Peoria Heights resulted in a Toulon man being arrested for illicit-drug crimes.
Robert B. Turnbull, 38, was driving a 1999 Ford van about 8:45 a.m. in the 900 block of E. Wilson Ave. when a police officer saw the vehicle registration was expired. A search revealed a metal box containing two syringes and a vial holding .009 grams of methamphetamine.
Turnbull was accused of unlawful possession of meth and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a report. He also was cited for expired vehicle registration and driving with an expired license. He was taken to the Peoria County Jail.

8-26 – A theft was reported by Michael and David Rumbold of Wyoming, involving a computer taken from farm machinery discovered missing from their machine shed.
8-29 – Jason J. Evans, 47, Aurora, cited for improper lane usage and operating a vehicle with no insurance.
8-30 – Angelita M. Mitchell, 60, Kewanee, cited for improper parking.
8-30 – Colton J. Wagenbach, 19, Toulon, ticketed for illegal cell phone usage while driving.
8-31 – Shahonna L. Brown, 25, Chicago, cited for driving on a suspended registration and driving without a valid driver’s license. She was issued a court date.
8-31 – Jayden R. Koch, 18, Lacon, ticketed for speeding 74 mph in a 55 zone.
9-1 – The Stark County Sheriff’s Department Kewanee Community Fire Department and ambulance personnel responded to a motorcycle accident at 12:44 p.m. at N 1650th and 650E. According to a report, the driver was Jacob A. Brewer, 26, of Peoria Heights. Brewer reportedly left the roadway and the motorcycle hit a ditch. Brewer suffered minor injuries. Passenger Kellea J. Nelson, 28, of Kewanee, sustained serious injuries. Brewer was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

8-28 – to the 00 block of SW 2nd St, to help a business ban a customer who was unruly the previous day.
8-28 – to the 500 block of NW 1st St, for a complaint involving a pit bull attacking another dog and its handler. As the result, Jessica Matzen, 25, Galva, was issued administrative warning tickets for allowing a dog to run at large and failure to have a valid rabies vaccination for a pet.
8-28 – During a traffic stop in the 800 block of SE 2nd St., Allen Shoen, 33, Galva, was cited for registration suspended and failure to obtain registration upon transfer of ownership. He was released with a court date.
8-28 – two times to a residence on SW 5th St. for an intruder complaint. The caller was found to be suffering from a mental-health crisis.

8-30 – to the 200 block of SW 6th St. for a physical domestic disturbance. Thomas Hockett, 67, Galva, was arrested for domestic battery. He was taken to the Henry County Jail.
