Approved as spring high school coaches were the following.• Baseball – Paid coaches are Arnie Gonzalez, Mike Weitekamp, Jeremy King and Brian McGarry. Volunteer coaches are Dan Self, Brent Stewart, Charlie Sams, Tim Farquer, James Sams, Mike Smith and Steve DeWitt.• Softball – Paid coaches are Beau Burnett, Cory Garza, Chad Reed and Paige Collopy. After more than 44 years as owner of Williamsfield’s only grocery store, Ladd sold his business last month. The new proprietor is Pardeep Kumar, part of a family that owns food stores in Bushnell and Mason City.“I want to go play golf where it’s warm,” said Ladd, who is approaching his 75th birthday.
