Scary-colored skies Saturday night (July 11) were a precursor to high winds that damaged the roof of this grain bin at Akron Services, Inc., between Brimfield and Elmwood. The line of storms also took shingles off some homes, knocked down tree limbs, caused lights to flicker in some homes and knocked power out in others. Some residents in Toulon and LaFayette were without power for up to 14 hours.
