Stark County
1-3 – Bryan P. Desch, 42, Peoria, was ticketed for driving on a revoked driver’s license. He was issued a notice to appear in court.
1-4 – Gene Gill, rural Wyoming, reported criminal damage to property. He reported the discovery of a broken window in his tractor and holes poked in the oil and air filters. The incident is under investigation.
1-5 – Dylan M. Wates, 24, Kewanee, was taken into custody by the Stark County Sheriff’s Office and arrested on two outstanding Henry County warrants. He posted $300 cash bond on one warrant and $200 on the second warrant. He was released with new court dates to appear in Henry County.
Galva Report
Officer dispatched:
1-1 – to the 00 block of NW 5th Street for a loose-dog complaint. The dog owner arrived prior to the officer and took the dog back home.
1-1 – to a loud noise complaint in the 100 block of NE 9th Street.
1-1 – Michael Duytschaver, 22, Kewanee, was issued a citation in the 1000 block of SE 2nd St. for having a fully tinted windshield.
1-2 – to assist Henry County with a vehicle search during a traffic stop west of town on Illinois Route 34.
1-2 – to the 100 block of N. Center Ave. for a complaint involving a possible prowler dressed in dark clothing. Officer was not able to locate.
1-2 – to Illinois Route 34 west of town to remove a deceased deer.
1-3 – to the 00 block of NW 4th Ave to recover a possible illegal substance left by a previous tenant.
1-4 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of SE 2nd St., Patrick Hammons, 67, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for no insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a court date.
1-5 – to assist the ambulance with a medical emergency on SW 6th St.
1-5 – to the 1000 block of NW 5th Ave. for a residential burglary complaint.
1-5 – to a disabled vehicle complaint in the 100 block of NE 3rd St.
1-5 – Everett VanStaden, 46, Neponset, was issued citations for having expired registration and operating an uninsured vehicle in the 00 block of Morgan Road.
1-6 – Aaron Cate, 40, Monmouth, cited for failure to secure new registration after transfer of ownership of a vehicle and having expired registration in the 200 block of SE 2nd Street.
1-6 – Preston Yoder, 19, Granger, Indiana, cited for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd St.
1-6 – to the 500 block of NW 3rd Ave for a dog-bite complaint. The dog was impounded at Henry County animal shelter in Cambridge, as this was the second time it bit a human.
1-6 – to the east edge of town for a reckless-driving complaint. Officer located the suspect vehicle but did not observe any violations.
1-6 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 00 block of NE 2nd Ave, Billie Powell, 42, Galva, cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended and for no insurance. She was released with a court date.
1-6 – along with Henry County to the 300 block of Front Street, to remove an unwanted patron. The subject left prior to police arrival. Henry County located the subject, and he was arrested for DUI-alcohol.
1-7 – to the 100 block of Market St. for a motorist slumped over the wheel. Stark County Medic also responded and determined it was a medical issue.
1-7 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 00 block of SE 2nd St., Brandon Dillon, 26, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended, improper use of registration and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was taken to the Galva Police Department and later released with a court date.
1-7 – to the 700 block of SE 1st St. for a loose-dog complaint. Officer was not able to locate.
