Stark County

2-13 – A single-vehicle accident occurred on Illinois Route 40 south of the intersection of 1200N. The driver was a 17-year-old Bradford teen. She was traveling north on Route 40 when her vehicle started to slide on the approach of a curve. The 2002 Toyota Highlander left the roadway and entered a ditch before traveling into a field and overturning. No injuries were reported, but the vehicle sustained over $1,500 in estimated damages. No tickets were issued.
2-16 – Grace N. Hendrick, 33, Peoria, was cited for speeding 83 mph in a 55 zone, and for driving with no headlights when required.
Peoria County report
2-5 – An Edelstein woman sideswiped an automobile parked in the lot of a Peoria church, according to authorities. Shelly M. Fishel was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado about 12:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at Northwoods Community Church, 10700 N. Allen Rd., when the accident happened. The front bumper of the parked 2022 Toyota Camry was hanging from the vehicle, according to a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report. No injuries were reported. Total damage exceeded $1,500.
2-19 – Thomas M. Leverette, 35, of Bradford was arrested at 10 a.m. and accused of theft by unauthorized control of property between $500 and $10,000, according to the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office.
2-19 – Raven Grinslade, 31, of Bradford was arrested after 8 p.m. and held for another law-enforcement agency, according to the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office.

Galva Report
Officer dispatched:

2-13 – to the 400 block of S. Center Ave. for a complaint involving children playing in the roadway. Officer spoke to a parent and advised them of the complaint and dangers of playing in the road.
2-13 – Officer checked on subjects in the parking lot of a business in the 00 block of SW 2nd St.
2-13 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 1000 block of N. Center Ave, Clayton Coyne, 28, Kewanee, was arrested for speeding 26 mph to 35 mph above speed limit. He was released with required court date.
2-13 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 1300 block of SE 2nd St., Rebecca Muckey, 34, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured vehicle, failure to transfer registration upon new ownership and having expired registration. She was released with a required court date.
2-14 – to the 300 block of SW 6th Ave. for a trash complaint.
2-14 – to meet with a locksmith from Galesburg in the 00 block of SW 4th St. He had been called to Galva to unlock a vehicle that he wasn’t able to locate. It was determined to be a scam.
2-15 – to the 100 block of NE 4th St. to attempt to locate a “missing adult” from Missouri. Officer was not able to locate her.
2-15 – to the 200 block of Morgan Rd. to meet with school officials in reference to a child abuse report. DCFS was contacted.
2-15 – Officer met with a subject at the Galva Police Department to discuss a child custody dispute.
2-15 – to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle in the downtown area. Tarletons were contacted to assist the subject.
2-16 – Officer was flagged down near the park district in reference to a Pepsi truck disabled about a mile south of town. Officer drove out there but the truck was already gone.
2-17 – Officer went to a residence in the 600 block of SW 2nd Ave. in reference to a city ordinance violation for junk and garbage. There was no answer at the door, so officer left a violation notice on the front door.
2-17 – While patrolling, officer noticed a vehicle parked at the Lincoln House with an open trunk. Officer checked around and shut the trunk.
2-18 – to the 600 block of NW 7th St. in reference to a family dispute. One of the subjects involved agreed to leave.
2-18 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of SE 8th Ave., Benjamin Verstraete, 42, Kewanee, was arrested for operating a vehicle with suspended registration, and for having expired registration. He was released with a required court date.
2-14 – Jose Davila, 35, Kewanee, was issued a citation for failure to secure a child under the age of 8 in the 200 block of SE 2nd St.
2-17 – Camron Rohrig, 23, Neponset, was issued a citation for having expired registration in the 800 block of N. Center Ave.
2-19 – Jevante Powe, 33, Kewanee, was issued a citation for having expired registration in the 700 block of NW 2nd St.
