Stark County Report

4-19-20 – A Toulon resident in the 600 block of East Jefferson Street reported criminal damage to property. The incident remains under investigation.
4-22-20 – A vehicle theft incident was reported by the Stark County Sheriff’s Dept. in Toulon. The vehicle was located the following day by the Louisville Metro Police Dept. in Kentucky. The incident remains under investigation.
4-23-20 – Daniel R. Gullett, of rural Bradford, reported a burglary of items missing from his barn. The incident remains under investigation.
4-23-20 – Anthony W. Cantwell, 44, Wyoming, was arrested by the Stark County Sheriff’s Dept. on a pending Woodford County warrant.He was taken into custody by local authorities and later released with a notice to appear and a court date set in Woodford County.
4-23-20 – Jared L. Compton, 29, Olney, was arrested for speeding 69 mph in a 55 zone, driving without a rear and front registration plate, driving without his driver’s license on his person, possession of adult use cannabis in a vehicle, driving while his license was suspended, and driving without vehicle insurance. He was later released with a notice to appear.
4-25-20 – Jennifer M. Stabler, 36, Kewanee, was cited for driving without a vehicle registration sticker, failure to notify the Illinois Department of Transportation of address change, improper lane usage, and driving with an obstructed front windshield noted as cracked on the driver’’s side. She was released with a notice to appear.

4-20-20 – Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1st Street for a burglary from a motor vehicle complaint.
4-20-20 – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of NE 6th Ave. to remove an unwanted subject. The subject was warned not to return or may face prosecution for trespassing.
4-21-20 – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Ave. for a loud vehicle complaint.
4-22-20 – Officer spoke to a citizen by telephone about checking a gun safe to see if it had been reported stolen. It returned clear.
4-23-20 – Officer dispatched to a residence on SW 4th Ave. to remove an unwanted subject. The person had left before police arrived.
4-24-20 – Officer dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2nd Street for a theft complaint involving a utility trailer.
4-24-20 – Officer dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4th Ave. for a trapping complaint involving a raccoon caught in a live trap. Officer spoke with the Illinois Dept. of Natural Resources and advised the owner it was illegal to trap out of season. The raccoon was released.
4-24-20 – Officer spoke to a citizen by telephone about seeing someone around town that “according to Facebook, was positive for COVID-19.” The officer spoke with the Henry County OEM director, who advised that the subject in question had been released from voluntary quarantine.
4-25-20 – Officer dispatched to the 400 block of SE 7th Ave. for a complaint involving harassment through Facebook.
4-26-20 – Officer spoke to a complainant by telephone in reference to a theft report involving money taken from a wallet.
4-26-20 – Officer dispatched to a disabled vehicle in the 1000 block of North Center Ave.
