Stark County

5-11 – A stolen vehicle was reported from Charlie’s Cycle Shop on Route 78 north of West Jersey. The vehicle was described as a 2014 Chevy Cruz which was later recovered in North Pekin. Two individuals, Chelsea R. Beckhoff, 28, Peoria and Colton T. Litz, 21, of Marquette Heights, were arrested in the case with related charges pending. The incident remains under investigation.
5-12 – Stephanie J. Mullins, 32, Kewanee, was issued notices to appear for speeding 70 mph in a 55 zone and for operating an uninsured vehicle.
5-12 – Shawn T. McRae, 41, Brimfield, was cited for driving without insurance.
5-13 – Trudy A. Holmes, 56, Wyoming, was issued a notice to appear for a city ordinance violation.
5-14 – Joseph L. Barks, 34, Bradford, was arrested on a Stark County warrant for failure to appear on the original charges for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. Barks was also charged with resisting and or obstructing a peace officer and aggravated battery. He was released with a notice to appear.
5-15 – A Toulon resident in the 200 block of East South Street reported a harassment complaint. The incident remains under investigation.
5-16 – Andrew C. Davis, 24, Kewanee, was cited for speeding 75 mph in a 55 zone and for driving without insurance..

Officer dispatched:

5-10 – to the 400 block of SE 7th Ave. for a loose dog complaint. The dog returned home.
5-10 – to the 500 block of North Center Ave. for a stray kitten complaint. Officer was unable to locate.
5-11 – to speak with a resident involving a complaint of subjects skateboarding late at night and being loud. Officer knew the subjects involved and advised them to cease.
5-11 – to a residence on NW 1st Ave. to remove an unwanted subject.
5-12 – to the 200 block of NW 7th Ave. for an attempted telephone scam complaint.
5-12 – to the 700 block of NW 5th Ave. for a property-line dispute.
5-12 – to the 300 block of Swank Street for a 911 hangup call. It was determined to be a young child playing with a phone.
5-12 – to a 911 call that plotted to the 500 block of NW 3rd Ave. It turned out to be a medical call.
5-12 – to the Galva Park District to remove a parent from a high school baseball game.
5-13 – Officer was flagged down in the 400 block of NW 6th Ave. in reference to a complaint involving damage to a vehicle.
5-13 – to the 200 block of SE 3rd Ave. for an attempted telephone scam.
5-13 – Officer met with a subject at the Galva Police Department who was seeking assistance with locating a runaway juvenile from the Kewanee area. Officer located the juvenile and he was returned to his parents.
5-13 – to the 00 block of NW 3rd Street for a loud music complaint. The resident was advised to turn it down.
5-14 – Officer notified about a two-vehicle accident with damage only that occurred on private property. The parties had already left the area.
5-15 – to the 00 block of SW 9th Ave. for a loose dog complaint. Owner was located and took dog back home.
5-15 – to the 500 block of North Center Ave. for a stray kitten complaint.
5-16 – to the 200 block of NE 7th Street for a verbal domestic dispute.
5-16 – to the north edge of town for a reckless driving complaint coming toward Galva on County Highway 5. Vehicle was located, but there was no probable cause for a traffic stop.
5-16 – to the 00 block of Chester Street for a motorist assist.
5-16 – to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a loud noise complaint.
5-16 – to the 400 block of NW 1st Ave. for a complaint involving juveniles throwing items at a house. The juveniles were released to their parents.
