Stark County
11-13 – Jataun A. Stone, 29, Peoria, was ticketed for speeding 72 mph in a 55 zone and for illegal transportation of adult use cannabis in a vehicle.
11-16 – Joseph B. Leeper, 50, Chillicothe, was charged with deceptive practices.
11-15 – Donna J. Bantz, 35, Toulon, was ticketed for operating an uninsured vehicle.
11-15 – Dulce M. Fortuno-Perez, 20, Princeville, was cited for speeding 73 mph in a 55 zone and for operating an uninsured vehicle.
11-16 – Rachel W. Newton, 45, LaFayette, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and unlawful use of weapons. She posted $500 cash bond and was released with a court date to appear.
11-16 – Sabrina A. Zygadlo, 25, Bradford, was ticketed for driving a vehicle without insurance and driving on a suspended vehicle registration.
11-18 – Ryleigh J. Whitesell, 20, Normal, was cited for speeding 71 mph in a 55 zone and for driving on a suspended registration for non-insurance. She posted $100 cash bond and was released with a court date to appear.
11-18 – Kevin O. Tonge, 22, Bloomington, was charged with illegal transportation of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle, aggravated unlawful use of weapons and violation of the FOID card act. He was released with a notice to appear.
11-20 – Mark E. Bauer, 26, Bradford, was cited for improper lane usage following a single vehicle accident that occurred northwest of Bradford.
Galva Report
Officer dispatched:
1-14 – to assist Kewanee Police Department locate a stolen cell phone that showed it was currently located in the 00 block of SW 4th St. Officer was not able to locate it.
11-14 – to the 600 block of NW 1st St. for a landlord-tenant dispute. As the result, Nicholas Yelm, 50, Galva, was arrested for resisting a police officer and disorderly conduct. He was taken to Henry County jail and later posted bond.
11-14 – to the 300 block of Front St. for a 9-1-1 call for a subject having a panic attack.
11-14 – Officer was advised that a train had stopped and was blocking all Galva crossings. BNSF was contacted and the train eventually moved along.
11-15 – along with several area fire departments and Stark County Medic, to an active structure fire in the 400 block of W. Division St. The State Fire Marshal was also contacted.
11-15 – to the 600 block of NW 7th St. in reference to ongoing issues with a neighbor.
11-15 – about two abandoned dogs in the 300 block of NW 1st St. Officer spoke to the owner, who advised the animals are well taken care of.
11-15 – to the 300 block of SE 2nd Ave for a disturbance complaint.
11-15 – to the 100 block of SE 2nd St. to attempt to locate a wanted subject. As a result, Michael Thuline, 54, Galva, was arrested on a Henry County warrant for failing to appear on charges of disorderly conduct-false police report and criminal trespass to land. He was unable to post bond and was transported to Henry County jail.
11-15 – to the 00 block of SW 2nd St. for an activated burglar alarm. It was a false alarm.
11-16 – to the 600 block of SW 1st Ave. for a complaint involving an unknown person stealing a neighbor’s dog and speeding away. Officer contacted the dog owner, who advised he picked up his dog and had possession of it.
11-17 – to meet with a resident at the Galva Police Department who has ongoing issues with a neighbor.
11-17 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. for a loud-noise complaint.
11-18 – to the 100 block of NE 4th St. to assist a citizen whose cat got locked inside a residence.
11-18 – to assist Knox County with an activated burglar alarm at a residence south of the cemetery. It was a false alarm.
11-18 – to the 200 block of NE 4th Ave. for a city ordinance violation involving burning on a non-burn day. The subject put the fire out.
11-18 – to a residence on SW 4th Ave. to check welfare on a subject.
11-18 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 1200 block of SE 2nd St. two passengers were found to have warrants. Nelson Alonso, 20, Galesburg, was arrested on a Knox County warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disregarding a yield sign. He posted bond and was released.
Jamison Littlefield, 21, Galesburg, was arrested on a Knox County warrant for failing to appear on the charge of possessing a converted firearm. He also attempted to provide a false name and got a new charge of obstructing identification. He was taken to Henry County jail.
11-19 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of SW 2nd Street, Scott Green, 33, Galesburg, was arrested for operating a vehicle with suspended registration and for not having valid insurance. He was released with a required court date.
11-19 – to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a fight-in-progress complaint. This remains under investigation. Charges are pending.
11-19 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 1200 block of SE 2nd St., Samantha Collins, 22, Galva, was arrested for operating a vehicle with suspended registration and for speeding. She was released with a required court date.
11-20 – to the 500 block of SE 2nd St. to check an abandoned vehicle.
11-20 – to the 1000 block of SE 2nd St. to assist a motorist who locked their keys inside the vehicle. Tarletons responded and was able to assist him.
11-20 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of SE 2nd St., Blake Moeller, 19, West Point, Iowa, was arrested for driving while license suspended. He was released with a required court date.
11-20 – to check an open door in the 400 block of W. Division St. It appeared to be weather (wind) related.
11-15 – Lila Vanacker, 21, Milan, was issued a citation for speeding in the 600 block of W. Division St.
11-15 – Carrson Anderson, 22, Woodhull, was issued a citation for not having valid insurance in the 900 block of W. Division St.
11-15 – Zachary Phelps, 40, Kewanee, was issued citations for improper passing and not having valid insurance in the 600 block of W. Division St.
11-16 – Nathan Chambers, 31, Galesburg, was issued a citation for speeding in the 900 block of SE 2nd St.
11-17 – Joshua Tuhey, 42, Toulon, was issued a citation for possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle.
11-18 – Averyl Stevenson, 24, Galva, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1000 block of N. Center Ave.
11-19 – A 17-year-old subject from Monmouth was issued a citation for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd St.
11-20 – Damon Weed, 20, Galva, was issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for speeding in the 00 block of Chester St.
11-20 – Thomaz Costa, 69, New Windsor, was issued a citation for speeding in the 800 block of W. Division St.
Peoria County report
11-18 – Thomas M. Leverette, 34, of Bradford was arrested about 4 p.m. Nov. 18 and accused of failure to appear in court, according to the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office. Leverette also was being held for another law-enforcement agency.
